AWFUL. Here is what i wrote to the company because of how bad the food was. I have never even done this before but it was warranted. "Purchased a meal today from your shorewood, il location. Two chicken sandwiches and a large fri. Store was not busy and service was friendly. On the otherhand the food was miserable to eat. The fries were fresh but the sandwiches clearly were not. Both by appearance and taste i Know that these sandwiches had been sitting for quite sometime. Maybe even premade because you could tell the lettuce and tomato were soggy and warm as if they had been on the sandwich for awhile. The meat portion of the sandwich was in no way crispy and almost rubbery along with visually burnt appearance. I snapped a few photos too If your would like. I not a fan of complaining and almost can not stand when people do over petty issues but I truly felt after a day of hard work simply having a meal that is not stale that I paid for is not hard to ask. I have the receipt if you had any doubt to the validity of the transaction. Would like to hear back some of your feedback about what you do to handle this situation. Not a satisfied customer in this situation but I hope my feedback helps your business. who ever reads this thank you for your time too." Yeah never heard back either. Waste of money and time
Waited in line 20 minutes to place an order which when I went to move my feet, my shoes stuck to the floor, should have been a sign to leave... anyways. This young woman taking the orders must have been new and did not now how to run the register, but did know how to have conversations with her friends that keep running up to the counter. Place a simple order , a double with mayo, tomatoes, lettuce. What I got was a double with onions, pickles, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. Told the manager that this was wrong and he asked me if I was sure...... Waited another 10 minutes for a new sandwich and it was still wrong. Instead of waiting another 10-20 minutes, I took the sandwich, left and outside was a elder man who was begging for food, so I gave him the sandwich. At least someone got to eat today.
I visited this location Tuesday 5/9/17 during my lunch, and had a horrible experience. It is the Wendy's on Eastway Dr. This was a drive-thru order. I ordered a spicy chicken Caesar salad/half-size. I got back to work, ate half of the salad when I noticed a ladybug at the bottom of my salad! Needless to say I got sick right away because I don't know if I had eaten anymore that could've been in the salad that I didn't see. I had 4 co-workers that saw the bug in my salad as well. I tried to contact this location and speak to a manager, wasn't able to get anyone on the phone that wanted to deal with this and was put on hold several times. I provided feedback via the main Wendy's website, didn't hear anything back. Contacted the main corporate number and wasn't able to get anyone on the phone. I messaged on their main FB page and after a day their response was " Stephanie, we are so disappointed to see this! Thank you for providing the location where this occurred. What is your phone number so we can have management get in touch with you to make this right? Thank you!" So I provided my contact information. Another day goes by and their next response was "Thank you for that. The management team for this location will be in touch with you to make this right. Have a great day!" Guess what? No one contacted me! Isn't that a surprise?! I definitely will not be back to that location, and probably will not have any salads from Wendy's or any salads for a while. How unprofessional this company is, not wanting to make this right! I know it could've been worse, like a bat or a roach in the salad....a ladybug is a bug and shouldn't have been in my food period! Be aware of what could be in your food, especially from this place!
This place served my best friend food that tasted horrible, as if something was spoiled, molded, or at the very least, NOT the way it should have tasted if it were actually freshly prepared. After returning the item a second attempt was made at selecting an entree that was acceptable to eat. After a single bite, the second dish also had the same spoiled or "rotten" flavor that wasn't only off putting, it made the food seem unsafe to consume. The second meal was returned. Management insisted she still MUST pay for the inedible meals. When payment was refused, the police were called. So, Frankies got their money for the garbage they call "Italian food", but the also proved without a doubt just how little they care about customer satisfaction. No wonder this place is ALWAYS empty and ALWAYS has a now hiring sign outside. They obviously have "operational issues", to put it nicely. Had we the forethought to do so, we'd have collected a sample of both the offending meals to be forwarded to food safety professionals for testing. I will never return and will absolutely discourage everyone I know from wasting their time or spending their money there! I've worked in foodservice my entire life and NEVER have I been employed for anyone, NOT ONE, who would force a customer to pay for something that was 100% unacceptable and potentially dangerous to their health.
Looking back through my photos I found some I had taken a while back, and I forgot to write this up, better late than never... Worst service, food, and experience in fast food ever. The kid taking my order sounded (and acted/looked as I pulled around) high and barely functioning, and after taking my order asked us to pull up and wait because the fries were being made fresh. 8 minutes later the food was brought out. We lived about 1 minute away, so after checking the order we just headed home to eat. Cold soggy fries, and a whopper (which I was introducing my wife to for the first time, building it up) that was not only cold, but just a couple pieces of the bagged lettuce you get at the store and what looked like 2 tiny slices of roma tomato. NOT the Whopper I grew up with and loved. After 2 bites and snapping a couple photos it went in the trash along with the fries. I filled out the customer survey on the receipt regarding the experience, being genuinely concerned that BK had changed so much in the past year with the ingredients and quality. I didn't want free food, I just wanted to know if this was company wide or just that location using sub-standard ingredients to save money, which should be addressed. I answered "yes" when asked if I wanted a manager to contact me, leaving my email and phone number. Nothing. I never received any response. Very disappointed that I may never go to BK, or try Whopper again, as it was my favorite fast food sandwich growing up.
