This place excels in all areas. During my stay in NYC they had the worst service, the worst food, and the most overpriced food we encountered. Amazing. The only reason I can see that they exist is their location across the street from the Carnegie Deli. The line for the Carnegie was about 30 deep and we were hungry, so we went across the street to this place. Horrible decision. I can only hope that someone sees this and avoids the same mistake.
Worst food and service in NYC.... This was the worst food I found in 6 days in NYC. I ordered simple soup and a sandwich and the waiter acted as if I was being unreasonable. The soup was horrible and they would not take it off the check. The grilled cheese sandwich I ordered was tasteless and the cheese wasn't even melted.... worst place ever. There were 4 of us at the table and the bill was over $150... plus the waiter included the tip on the check and acted as if the tip was not optional.... do not go here!
Hard to find something worth ! if you want to pay 18$ for a panini, stink frying eat and try to find your chiken In your chiken salad ? go to this place...
I was visiting NYC last weekend and was looking to eat breakfast upon my arrival. This was the first place I found with out a line. I found out why momentarily. The waitress barely understood English, so it was hard to communicate with her. I had to point to the meal I wanted on the menu. The food came out fast, but was below average in quality. I have had better @ Bob Evans, Perkins, and IHOP. When the bill came it was $70 for two people! Holy smokes! I have had way better food from chains who only charge ~$30 for two people.
If I could give this place a rating in minus stars, I would give it a minus five. The food they served me was TERRIBLE! I ordered 3 eggs over easy and bacon. I got three COLD, OVERCOOKED BURNT AROUND THE EDGES pieces of "something" that no chicken would admit to being an egg. The bacon had been immolated and was, like the eggs, cold. The waitress was apologetic and I asked her to have the "manager" come see me. This was Tuesday morning, September 16 at around 10 AM. The place was NOT busy but the rude dude who claimed to be the manager (and would not tell me his name) just whisked away the plate and told me he ad no time to listen to me! If I knew who owned this place I would recommend that he fire this guy. The guy was rude to his waitstaff and abusive. I would avoid this place! There are three other restaurants/delis on the corners of 55th and 7th that put this trough to shame.
