The cooking was very lazy and there was little effort to flavor the dishes. The salsa tasted like Pace Picante and the tortillas tasted like they came out of a package. Service was below par. The sauces on the main dishes were decent but there was so much of it, it was almost as if the sauce was intended to hide the lack of flavor from the main course. The beans were flavorless and tasted like they were cooked the day before and re-heated. The potatoes were greasy, not even in the good way. It was almost like the potatoes were sitting in the bottom of the greased pan for hours and re-heated for service. The rice was a little grainy and under-cooked. Overall, the flavor of the food was nothing that you'd might expect from a tex-mex restaurant when looking at it from the outside. Go somewhere else. There are plenty of options down 90 heading south more closely authentic mexican or tex-mex.

It's cheap it's good and it's probably one of the best local Mexican restaurants around. And it's got a pretty nice homey atmosphere since it isn't some major chain. Plus the home made salsa for their nachos are just amazing.
